About Me

🌌 🧘‍ 🎞️ 📸 ️🧳 🌄 🎵 🖼️ ⛩️

I’m a product design leader and builder drawn to the places where technology, people, and the physical world meet.

Design & Leadership

Over the past decade, I’ve designed complex, systems-driven products across electric vehicles at Lucid, hand-tracking at uSens, and immersive VR at Oculus. Much of my work has involved emerging technologies without established interaction patterns, where the challenge is not simply making something easier to use, but helping define what the experience should be in the first place.

I’m most energized by ambiguous problems where the path is not yet obvious, from shaping 0→1 product direction to evolving large-scale experiences over time. I care deeply about craft, but I see design as more than the interface itself. It is also the thinking behind the product, the systems beneath it, and the collaboration that makes it possible.

As a leader, I try to create the conditions for people to do their best work: clear direction, high standards, trust, honest conversations, and room to grow. I care deeply about mentoring designers while staying close to the work through interaction design, prototyping, and exploring new technology alongside the team.

Perspective & Curiosity

Born in China and now based in California, I’ve spent much of my life moving between cultures, disciplines, and ways of seeing. That has shaped how I design, with sensitivity to context, nuance, and the different ways people understand and navigate complex systems.

Meditation and contemplative practice are an important part of my life and have shaped how I think about both design and leadership. They’ve made me more interested in attention, intention, and our relationship with technology, not only whether a product works, but what it encourages us to notice, feel, and do.

That curiosity led me to build Unfolding, an AI-powered contemplation app for intentional living. I’m designing and developing it independently, exploring how new technology can help people live with greater clarity and intention rather than simply demand more of their attention.

Outside of design, I find different ways to stay curious and present through travel, photography, martial arts, diving, art, and life with the animals I love.
